Neil Murray

Neil Murray has been working for Informa since September 2001. He originally trained as a lawyer, studying at the universities of Sussex and Grenoble (France), and then the College of Law, but gave it up to become a journalist.

Prior to joining Foodnews, he spent 10 years as editor of a frozen foods industry title, and has also edited a logistics magazine, a commercial vehicle journal (for which he had to get his truck driver’s licence), a motorcycle industry title, and a market-leading consumer ski magazine.

His core area of expertise on IEG Vu is the global market for fruit juices and concentrates.


Cristina Nanni

Cristina Nanni joined the Informa editorial team in 2016 as a specialist reporter focusing on tomato-based products, frozen fruit, and vegetables. In this role she monitors and analyses the main commodities in these sectors, identifying market trends and their possible impacts on producers and buyers.

Cristina learnt the basics of journalism as an intern in the press office of the European Parliament, in Brussels (Belgium), where she moved after graduating in International Relations at the University of Bologna. Since then, her hands have never stopped typing on a keyboard reporting for press agencies, newspapers, radio, and TV both in her native Italy and abroad.

Julian has been a specialist commodities reporter with Informa since 2001, covering many of the key agricultural commodities. He currently reports on the global dried fruit and nut, spices and exotics market sectors for IEG Vu.

Major broadcasters, including the BBC, have called on him a number of times to provide expert comment on the markets in radio interviews.

He has extensive experience in business journalism, having previously worked for trade magazine publisher and exhibitions organiser Miller Freeman. He is a BA Honours graduate in Radio, Film and Television.

Estela is IEG Vu’s specialist reporter on canned foods, covering the markets for a range of products including canned fruits, vegetables, fish and meat.

Originally hailing from the small town of Pastrana in central Spain, Estela studied at the Complutense University of Madrid and worked as a local news reporter before moving to London in 2012. Her interests include photography, video editing and international relations.


Richard Dillon

Richard Dillon is Head of Dairy with IEG Vu. He specializes in the supply and demand of dairy commodities, such as cheese, skimmed milk powder and butter.

Reporting on market, price and policy developments that impact on the dairy sector. Richard writes for managers who have a need to develop a strategic view of the direction of the sector on a day-by-day, week-by-week basis.

Richard has been a dairy industry writer and analyst for more than a decade, taking the helm of the operation five years ago. His approach is journalistic as well as analytical – highlighting key events each week which have the most impact on the sector.

He moved into agri-commodity reporting 18 years ago, covering the intricacies of food law and the rise of the organic food movement.

Sandra Boga joined Informa in 2013, after spending several years as a senior reporter in the steel commodities sector in both London and São Paulo.

Her specialist area in IEG Vu is the grains market, including corn, wheat, barley and rice, although she also covers sugar. Sandra has created a template for weekly Market Reports across the grains, oilseeds and softs sectors in IEG Vu, which cover price analysis, supply, demand and outlooks.

Sandra regularly covers key global grain events across Europe, Latin America and Asia, providing in-depth, extensive coverage and live tweets for her followers. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.


 

Roger Bernard

Roger Bernard analyzes policy developments on agriculture, trade, energy, transportation, taxes and US economic and monetary policy for IEG Policy, and more widely for IEG Informa Economics.

As a Policy Analyst, he provides clients and subscribers with accurate, concise and timely analysis of events and policies to help them make market and business decisions.

Before he joined Informa in 2011, Roger worked for Farm Journal / Pro Farmer for more than 24 years. There he covered US agriculture, trade and Washington policy, spending more than 10 years working in Washington DC.


 

Richard Morrison

Richard Morrison is based out of the Informa Economics Washington, D.C. office, where he contributes to IEG Policy and other Informa Economics products and client services. He maintains a keen interest in the intersection of politics and economics, a passion of his since before college.

Since joining Informa, Richard has written extensively on the effect that government policy and market dynamics have on the agriculture and food sectors – in the US and globally. Being a Millennial, Richard leads the Washington news team in monitoring and developing items for social media.

He is a native of rural central Virginia and received his bachelor’s degree in economics from George Mason University.

Having joined the The Public Ledger team in 2012, Sabine previously worked on various Informa food and drink titles, including a stint as editor of Chocolate & Confectionery International. She is a fluent German speaker.


 

Max Green

Max writes on a range of issues affecting the meat and livestock industry for IEG Policy and IEG Vu. He began overseeing Agra Europe’s coverage of the sector in 2010 after eight years editing other Informa titles.

He previously lived and studied in South America and has worked on specialised meat and animal feed newsletters for Brazil’s Informa Economics FNP and Germany-based FO Licht. He has two Masters degrees – one from the University of London and the other from Brunel University.

As well as market trends, he likes to explore the intersection between trade, politics and regulations on animal health and welfare. He most often writes about developments in the EU, but really enjoys uncovering news from further afield, especially Latin America, Asia and Russia.
