BELTWAY NOTEBOOK: Tri-national agriculture officials gather in Guadalajara
The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), avian flu and pollinator health are on the agenda this week for a meeting of the Tri-National Agricultural Accord in Guadalajara, Mexico, Nov. 11-14. The accord represents a longstanding commitment among state and provincial agricultural officials of the U.S., Canada and Mexico to work together on agricultural trade and development issues. The U.S. Delegation will be led by New Mexico Secretary of Agriculture Jeff Witte, who is also on the board of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA). NASDA will host the 25th accord meeting in the United States next year.
