With the country being one of the hardest hit by the virus and now on lockdown, we evaluate the impact on Italy’s food and farming industries in this latest podcast.

Specialist reporter Cristina Nanni indicates that food and supermarket (including online) sales have soared over the past couple months (including rice, pasta, animal preserves, tomato products).

For crops and farming, labour shortages are a concern and could result in lower crop volumes, however logistically, the sector hasn’t been affected for the time being.
