Impact of Starbucks’s temporary shutdown in China over the coronavirus

The closure could impact on its planned growth target

Starbucks, with a net revenue of USD26.5 billion globally, closed over half of its stores in China as a result of the coronavirus spreading. IEG Vu believes that there is likely to be some material impact on its overall annual revenue; however, the degree of the effect will depend on the duration of the closure and number of stores closed which is certainly linked to how quickly the disease can be contained.
