Brazil’s government inspections in banana farms due to fungus

Disease already detected in Colombia

The Brazilian ministry of agriculture (Mapa) made inspections in banana farms in the border area with Colombia and Peru to prevent the entry of ‘Fusarium oxysporum f. Sp. Cubense  tropical race 4 (Foct Tr4)’, a fungi which is very damaging to bananas.
