The 2019 Italian honey crop is expected to fall around 40% from its average annual output of 25,000 tonnes, and revenue losses may reach around EUR70 million (USD78.2 mln) due to cold temperatures in spring and heavy rains, the Italian Institute for the Agri-Food Industry (Ismea) explained in its 2019 Italian honey industry report.
