US tariffs on Chinese canned food imports upset global trade

Last year, China was the country of origin for all US imports of prepared satsumas and pears; half of the total canned peach volume imported by the US also came from China; and the country is the second US supplier of canned tuna. These four commodities together represent the bulk of canned food that this year could be affected by the proposed additional 10% duty on Chinese imports into the US.
