First estimates of frost effects on Chinese strawberry crop

The cold snap that hit north and western China between April 4-7 has reduced the early strawberry crop by between 20-30%, lifting prices for both fresh and processing markets. Higher prices were also reported for American 13, the variety mainly used for producing IQF to be sold in Europe.
