Turkish dried apricot prices surge higher on lower than anticipated crop

Turkish dried apricot prices increased substantially in recent days due to a stronger Turkish lira against the dollar (+5%), but mainly because the estimated crop of 170,000 tonnes did not materialise and only is now expected to be a mere 130,000 tonnes, Dutch trader Catz International noted in its latest report on dried fruit and nuts.
