Weather ensures US walnut harvesting is earlier this year

Most Californian walnut producers harvested in the second week of October because the weather forecast has predicted strong rains from October 19 onwards. Last year, harvesting had to be stopped for several days due to strong storms on the northern Sacramento Valley in mid-October 2017, and producers wanted to avoid a repeat of this situation.
