Brazil's chicken and pork output and exports in 2017 will fall below initial expectations, with companies still dealing with the impact of the Weak Flesh investigation by the police, said the Brazilian
Animal Protein Association (ABPA) on Tuesday. The ABPA said it expects chicken output in 2017 to be 13.1 million tons after cutting its growth forecast to 1% on 2016 compared to 3 to 5% earlier this year. Chicken exports are also likely to increase by only 15, below previous expectations of 3 to 5%. The ABPA now forecasts exports of 4.4 million tons this year.
