Health Commissioner defends Commission for clearing national COOL laws

This article was originally published in Agra Europe

Questioned on why the Commission had allowed first France and now others such as Portugal and Italy to go ahead with national COOL schemes, Andriukaitis told the conference that it was because Member States have the right to do so under certain conditions such as that they were temporary in nature.  He noted that the French scheme was to run for two years until the end of 2018 and there would be a report back on its impact.
