No new EU rules on agri-food supply chain for now, says Hogan

Speaking at a forum in Kaunas, Lithuania last week (March 31) entitled ‘Rethinking the food supply chain’ – part of the AgroBalt 2016 agriculture and food exhibition – Hogan admitted that it was a “very difficult time for EU farmers”, given that prices are currently “very low” and it is difficult to produce under these circumstances. He said that the EU needed “to be honest enough to acknowledge that many links in our food chain are currently broken”.
