Kremlin plans to tighten rules on farmland purchases

Arkady Ponomarev, who is both the chairman of the Russian Dairy Union and a member of the Russian State Duma, told local reporters last week that the country’s agriculture ministry plans to carry out a survey to determine which land is most valuable for agricultural production, as well as which land is most suitable for crop variety testing, seed production and seed control.
