Chicken meat cut exports up by 20% in the year

Accounting for more than three-fifths of Brazilian chicken meat exports, cuts have driven an increase of almost 16% in the volume exported in the first four months of 2016 (1.436 million tons). This is 13% up on total exports in 2000 (1.266 million tons). Prices, however, have fallen by 17.50%, better only than salted meat, which is down by 17.82%. However, after 10 consecutive months of whole chicken price falls, in March and April the price of cuts rose and in the first four months of 2016 are almost 2% higher than for whole chicken.
