EU farmers reject Mercosur deal
Farmers in the European Union have stepped up their campaign against a free trade deals with Mercosur, arguing it would cause them billion-dollar losses. On the eve of a new round of bilateral discussions, the powerful European trade union confederation Copa & Cogeca sent a letter to European Commission President, Jean - Claude Juncker, asking him to "stop making unfair concessions in agriculture in the negotiations with Mercosur."
