International grain price outlook worsens
The outlook for the prices of some of the major agricultural products traded outside Brazil in the short, medium and long term has clearly worsened. New forecasts released on Friday by the USDA and FAO confirmed the growing trend in global supply and signaled a decline in the rate of growth for demand.
In this context, both bodies signaled falling prices. The scenario could undermine profitability for farmers and exporters, affecting the regions most dependent on agriculture and livestock. In contrast, it will reduce the pressure created by food on overall inflation rates, which has been an almost constant concern in recent years.
