Standard on cattle imported from countries with BSE published

The Agriculture Defense Department, at the Ministry of Agriculture (SDA / MAPA) has issued a standard for greater control over imports of animals from countries that could have BSE. Published in the "Official Gazette" on Thursday, Normative Instruction 13/2014 sets out demands regarding the identification, monitoring and control of the movement of cattle imported from countries considered at risk of BSE.
Individual registration and control of the movement of imported cattle will be operationalized through the National Database (BND). According to the NI, this registration may be incorporated into the electronic control system for the transit of animals by of state animal health protection bodies.
In case of noncompliance, the body must apply the relevant state law.
