After visiting beef and pork processors, Mexican officials had the opportunity to learn about Brazil's sanitary controls, as carried out by the Federal Inspection Service (SIF).
The final meeting was held on Thursday (May 15) at the office of the Agricultural Protection Department (SDA), at the Ministry of Agriculture (MAPA), in Brasília.
According to the director of the Department of Animal Products Inspection (DIPOA) at MAPA, Leandro Feijó, Brazil is expected to increase its participation as an exporter of thermoprocessed products.
The Mexicans visited 12 plants, in the states of São Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Rio de Janeiro, and will soon issue a final report.
