Stable grain prices reduce pressure on BRF in 2014
Stable grain prices in 2014 will reduce the pressure on BRF to pass on costs to consumers, says the company's Vice President, Leopoldo Savoy.
Grain accounts for 75% to 80% of chicken feed production costs.
Last year, crop failures in Brazil and the USA pushed up production costs for BRF, Brazil's largest producer and exporter of chicken, leading it to increase prices by about 10% between July and December last year.
