Mato Grosso exports hog genetics to Argentina
Mato Grosso has begun to export breeding hogs to Argentina. The shipment of 1,045 animals will go later this week. The plan is to expand to other countries. According to the director of the Mato Grosso Hog Farmers Association (Acrismat), Custódio Rodrigues, the first breeding animals that arrived in Mato Grosso were from the south of the country and Canada. The manager of the exporting company, Lisandro Haupenthal says that sanitary issues have opened up the new market.
