On Monday, April 22, Coopercentral Aurora Alimentos started slaughtering and processing at its plant in Xaxim. Confirmation came from the president of Aurora, Mário Lanznaster, who reported that 60,000 chickens will be slaughtered a day, rising to the maximum installed capacity of 238,000 head a day in December.

According to Lanznaster, Aurora will invest R$ 60 million this half of the year to get the unit back up to full speed.
