Gilberto Tomazoni becomes global CEO of JBS' poultry business
JBS said on Thursday, February 21, that Gilberto Tomazoni, former CEO of Sadia, will lead its global poultry business. The executive will report to the global CEO of JBS, Wesley Batista.
In addition to his time as CEO of Sadia, Tomazoni served as vice president of Bunge Alimentos and was the company's CEO for Central and South America. His position at Bunge was his last one before joining JBS.
JBS is one of the world's three largest chicken processors, alongside the USA's Tyson Foods and Brazil's BRF. In a statement, JBS says it processes more than 8.5 million birds a day at its plants in the USA, Brazil and Porto Rico, and it exports to over 100 countries.
