Russia imposes conditions on ending ban
If it cannot end Russia's ban on meat from Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, and Mato Grosso, President Rousseff's visit to Moscow last week did at least did prevent the ban spreading further. To lift the ban on meat from Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul and Mato Grosso, the Russian authorities made it clear to President Rousseff that Brazil must comply with the conditions imposed by Moscow. One of them is the provision of an additional guarantee that pork exported to Russia does not contain ractopamine, a feed additive for fattening.
