Brazil delivers corn late and Japan resumes purchases from the USA

Japan has purchased at least 500,000 tons of US corn for delivery in January and March, increasing its imports from the world's biggest exporter of the cereal, despite the high prices charged for the commodity compared with Brazilian corn. The decision to buy came after delays in delivery of corn from Brazil, trading companies' executives have said.
