Boi Bravo slaughterhouse resumes operations
The Boi Bravo slaughterhouse has resumed its operations in Uberaba and the region after getting clearance from the National and International Market Inspection authority. The 200,000 square meter establishment has set a capacity to slaughter 500 animals a day in just one shift.
Director of Boi Bravo, Romeo Costa Telles, says two audits were carried out, approving its operations. It was closed down on May 3, after the Federal Inspection Service (SIF-Brasília/DF) found irregularities in the slaughter of animals, and a lack of hygiene and quality control.
