Doux proposals disappoint the French
The proposals to buy - and save - the French group Doux, the largest European producer of chickens and the owner of Frangosul in Brazil, have caused widespread disappointment. The administrator, Doux itself, the unions and the French government have not hidden their disappointment with the offers made so far, which point to the closure of units.
None of the proposals submitted on October 5 provides for the full acquisition of the group, said the administrator, Régis Valliot. He considers the proposals to be unsatisfactory, and has asked the candidates in line to buy Doux, in bankruptcy protection since June, to improve them.
