An investigation by Internal Affairs at the National Council of Justice has found evidence that an appeal court judge and a federal judge used their positions to favor a slaughterhouse charged with tax evasion and tax crimes estimated at R$ 184 million. The appeals court judge is Nery da Costa Júnior, of the Federal Regional Tribunal in the 3rd Region (based in São Paulo). He is suspected of interfering in the release of goods produced by Torlim - ruled on in 2011, by Judge Gilberto Rodrigues Jordan.
