An investigation by Internal Affairs at the National Council of Justice has found evidence that an appeal court judge and a federal judge used their positions to favor a slaughterhouse charged with tax evasion and tax crimes estimated at R$ 184 million. The appeals court judge is Nery da Costa Júnior, of the Federal Regional Tribunal in the 3rd Region (based in São Paulo).
