JBS gets injunction against Greenpeace

JBS has obtained an injunction from this Wednesday (June 13) against Greenpeace to remove from its website the report JBS Failed – How the biggest meat company on the planet is still slaughtering the Amazon, which accuses the company of buying animals from deforested areas, indigenous territories and estates embargoed for maintaining workers in slave-like conditions.

The world’s biggest animal protein processor, JBS filed a lawsuit after the report by the NGO was put up. Failure to comply with the ruling will result in a fine of R$ 50,000 a day for Greenpeace, which can appeal.
