JBS has said it has created a Farmer Relations department. The president of the meat division at JBS Mercosur, Mauro Renato da Costa, made the announcement at a seminar on agribusiness held by BM&FBovespa.
JBS says the goal is to integrate the entire production chain. The new department will serve raw material suppliers. Eduardo Pedroso and Fabio Maia will run the department. "Eduardo is technician with 16 years’ experience on the meat market, most of which have been dedicated to relationships with farmers. Fabio is a civil engineer and has extensive experience in strategic planning and the performance of large groups," says the company.
