JBS sells Argentine unit for US$ 16.5 million
JBS has agreed to sell its unit in San José, Argentina. The deal has been agreed with a consortium formed by a group of local cooperatives and the government in the region for US$ 16.5 million, according to JBS. Of this total, R$ 15 million will be paid in cash and the remainder paid off in a year. The unit was acquired by JBS in 2006 and production was discontinued in 2009.
