Fiesp: meat exports to total 32.9 million tons by 2022

The Federation of São Paulo State Industries (Fiesp), in partnership with the Institute for International Trade Negotiations (Icon), has prepared the study Outlook Brasil 2022, with forecasts for various agricultural products by country for the next decade.

According to the results, chicken, beef and pork exports will increase significantly. Brazil will continue to be a major supplier to the world market, increasing its stake as the largest exporter of beef, chicken and beef, as well as competing in third place with Canada in pork.

Exports shall be divided up as follows: 5.9 million tons of chicken meat, 2.7 million tons of beef and 700,200 tons of pork – an increase in the period of 46%, 87% and 28% respectively. It is estimated that over ten years, production of these three products will reach a combined total of 32.9 million tons.
