USDA puts two properties in quarantine following BSE
The US government has quarantined two dairy farms in California, one in the area where an animal was recently discovered with BSE. The other farm, according to the USDA, is associated with dairy products produced with the sick cow's milk.
The USDA did not detail the reasons for the quarantine, but said records of both operations are still being examined to determine whether there may be some risk to livestock.
