Conab answers demand from ABCS about corn supply
The Brazilian Association of Pig Breeders (ABCS) has had one of its demands met by the National Supply Company (Conab). In a letter sent to the ABCS, the Director of Operations and Supply at Conab, Marcelo de Araujo Melo, said that the limit established for the sale of corn in the southern region will be 27 tons per month, priced at R$ 21 per bag, as long as the farmer is registered with Conab.
Previously, the limit was 6 tons of grain per month. The call for an increase was made by the president of the ABCS, Marcelo Lopes, to the director of Conab at a meeting held on March 29.
