Copacol opens soybean crushing plant
Copacol, a cooperative in Cafelândia (PR), last week opened a soybean processing plant. Announced in 2009 as part of a plan estimated at R$ 300 million, the new unit has had R$ 80 million invested in it and will have the capacity to crush 1,800 tons soybeans a day.
Copacol says the new plant, which will employ 60 people, will handle all the soybean oil and meal demands of the cooperative needs for its poultry, pork, dairy and pisciculture.
