Doux Frangosul rejects suspicions that it has sent money to its headquarters in France
The demand by poultry and pork producers who are integrated with Doux Frangosul for the government of Rio Grande do Sul state to look into the company’s financial transactions with its headquarters in France has been refuted by the company in an official statement to the Brazilian public prosecutor.
In a press release, Doux Frangosul claims to have delivered the document to the prosecutor on Wednesday, January 18, in which it makes itself “available to answer any queries”. It says that it regularly sends funds from its units in Brazil to France through the Central Bank. The company declined to comment on the accumulated debts it has built up with its integrated producers, and it also did not state its position on the demands made by employees in regards to the company’s accounts.
