Brazil is battling FMD with all its resources, says Minister
Brazil’s Agriculture Minister, Mendes Ribeiro, has reiterated that the country is battling FMD with all its resources at the border. "We have the army on the border, cattle have been vaccinated, and we will be working on this issue," said Mendes, at a news conference at the Ministry in Brasilia.
Ribeiro is considering increasing the number of attachés in South America. "We have one in Buenos Aires and we need one in Bolivia and Paraguay. For now, the attaché in Argentina will be taking care of Paraguay and Bolivia and we will seek to have one more to serve the two countries," he said.
