Malaysian soft drink industry’s growth slows

Malaysia’s soft drinks production has grown significantly with annual average growth of 27% since 2009, hitting 4.0 billion litres in 2013, the highest figure in the last 16 years. Then output started to fall, dropping to 2.8 bln litres in 2016, a decline of 14% year-on-year. The Q1 output of 2017 was 614.4 million litres, according to the country’s Department of Statistics.
