Syngenta loses GM corn court case

A US jury on Friday (June 23) ruled that Swiss agrochemicals Syngenta AG is to pay more than 7,000 Kansas corn farmers damages of USD218 million for commercialising its GM corn variety, Agrisure Viptera, before it had received import approval from China.
