Dairies dump milk on polonium-210 tainting fears

Two dairy farms in the US state of Nevada have dumped milk after the discovery of radioactive polonium-210 - the substance that killed the former Russian security agent Alexander Litvinenko - in 25 drinking water wells. Sales of milk produced by Sorensen's Dairy and Oasis Dairy were halted earlier this month. Tests carried out by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have since shown that the milk is safe to drink and supplies have restarted.
