Corn tests all-time high due to low US acreage

CORN (maize) futures rose by 30¢ to 45¢ a bushel in the week to April 2, with theMay future testing the alltime high of $6.00 a bushel, after the USDA estimated the US would plant 8% fewer acres to corn this year due to high input costs and attractive prices for alternative crops.
