KYRGYZ production of fruit juice is booming, having more than quadrupled over the past five years, an executive director of the country’s Association of Fruit and Vegetable Enterprises has said at a conference on agrarian processing. He also noted that tomato juice production has grown considerably during the period, reported. Fruit juice is the most exported agricultural product, representing 58% of the total, with processed tomatoes in second place, accounting for 27% of exports. However, production of dried fruit and vegetables, among them tinned products, dropped considerably over the last five years.
