NATIONAL Starch, a multi-national manufacturer of industrial starches, adhesives, polymers, and speciality food products, is looking to expand the reach of its starch-based pulp replacer, Precisa Pulp 02, to a larger variety of exotic fruit juice drinks. Originally developed for mango juice drinks, the ingredient is now suitable for juice flavours such as guava and apricot, which are popular in the Middle East, and pear flavoured drinks which are growing in popularity across Europe. The company claims that Precisa Pulp 02 adds pulpiness to juice drinks without disturbing flavour or texture.
