Sun drying a feature of South American prunes

Irrigation and sun drying are just two of the key features of prune growing in Argentina and Chile, and this was evident during visits to prune orchards and processing facilities in both countries. The visits in Argentina were held the week before the IPA (International Prune Association) Congress in Santiago, Chile, after which (on November 9) there was a visit to orchards and a processing plant in Chile.
