New clashes on Serbian raspberry farm priceThis article was originally published in Foodnews
Raspberry growers and traders are at loggerheads over the price of the 2014 crop at the start of this year’s raspberry harvest in Serbia.
The average cost of growing Willamette raspberries in Serbia amounts to RSD79.50 (USD0.93) per kg, or EUR0.69/kg, according to Serbia’s cold storage trade association, UHS. This price is based on production costs on commercial-type farms. The calculation was presented by professor Mihailo Nikolic, at an UHS assembly earlier this week.
