Listeria forces gorgonzola cheese recall in France

The presence of listeria monocytogenes has prompted the French health and agriculture ministries to recall gorgonzola cheese products from Italian producer Dolcissimo sold in two supermarket chains - ED and Leclerc. The recalled products sold in Leclerc stores are labelled Gorgonzola Tables du Monde 150g and carries the batch number L 90572, DLC 24/04/2009 and 08/05/2009 as well as Gorgonzola Solo Italia 150g with batch numbers L 90572, DLC 24/04/2009. Those sold in ED supermarkets are labelled Gorgonzola Don Giovanni 200g, batch number L 90572, DLC 24/04/2009, 01/05/2009, 08/05/2009 and carry a veterinary certification number (Numéro d'agrément vétérinaire) IT 03/271 CE.
