Dutch cheese exports witnessed a decline of 8.9% in May, according to figures from the Dutch Dairy Board (Productschap Zuivel). Shipments to third countries eased back 6% while sales to other EU member states tumbled 9.5%. Meanwhile, deliveries in the first five months of this year were 1.9% below the January-May 2007 level. While sales to EU member states fell 0.2%, shipments to third countries slumped almost 11% in the five-month period.
