Kroger in ice cream recallThis article was originally published in Dairy Markets
Inter-American Products, a division of US retailer Kroger, has recalled its private selection light churned mint chocolate chip ice cream due to it containing ingredients not stated on the label. Egg, soya and wheat, which may be contained in the product, are not listed on the ingredient statement and could be deemed "serious or life threatening" to anyone with an allergy to them, Kroger said. The mint chocolate chip is the only product affected in the range, with a "sell by" date of December 3, 2008 and product codes DEC0308 8070 and DEC0308 8080. The ice cream was distributed to Kroger stores in 12 states.
