New general manager for First Milk Cheese Co's Maelor cheese plant

The First Milk Cheese Company (FMCC), a division of UK dairy cooperative First Milk, has Chris Palmer as the new general manager to lead its Maelor cheese packing facility in north Wales. Palmer joined the FMCC following more than a decade with Weetabix Ltd where he was initially head of international sales and more recently, head of manufacturing. As well as his ten years with Weetabix, he has clocked up a further 18 years' experience with international food and drinks brands including UB Ross Youngs, Golden Wonder Ltd and Cadbury Schweppes. FMCC's Maelor packing facility is the largest cheese packing factory in the UK, with 400 employees packing more than 70 000 tonnes of cheese each year.
