Butter ratios drop

COCOA butter ratios dropped to a seven-year low in Asia, pressured by weakening demand from chocolate makers and London's rise to levels not seen in more than three decades, dealers said on December 18. Ratios, an indicator for demand, were quoted at as low as 1.50 times London futures, down from 1.70 times three weeks ago and nearly 30% below levels seen in early 2009.
